client: trigger the user-specified callback after the creation of the mcl::Buffer, and allow for accessing the ClientBuffer.

This was split out from a bigger branch where I change the incoming buffer processing a bit, and it is necessary that the mcl::Buffer object be present in the SurfaceMap before the callback is triggered.
