update inputinfo api to the latest upstream snapshot
* Import latest update of api from gerrit.
* drop all the old mock code
* instead of mocking the whole api, add mocks for the backend only. This should simplify future updates and moving to upstream implementation a lot.
* update tests to use new mocking system
