add support for timeout in device and support device:dev=
This adds a 'timeout' support for 'device' mode.
And makes it more explicit to call a device by making:
overlayroot=device:dev=/dev/vdb,timeout=0
an alias for
overlayroot=/dev/vdb,timeout=0
