Fixed up code, copied from the old script, that kept erasing dictionaries, so users were lost.

Always interpret email as lowercase. There was a problem when a user was identified by email with an uppercase character, which further on was comared to a lowercase version, the comparison failed and a duplicate user started to be created, which of course clashed with the one just created...
