have cloud-init direct its output to log file, and collect that.
In oneiric, cloud-init can redirect its output (and output of all
executed programs) to a file. Here we take advantage of that, and
have cloud-init redirect output to /var/log/cloud-init-output.log
This may be helpful for debugging
