Using
The mailing list is organized around conversations. To begin a new conversation, send email to +new@. Alternately, if you would like to specify a name for your new conversation, send your message to +new+name@, replacing name with the name you would like (e.g., +new+greetings@). To continue an existing conversation, simply use your mailer's "reply-all" command. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.

Subscribe to by filling out the following form. Your email address:   Your name:   This list requires subscribers to provide a short essay on their qualifications to join this list. To join the list, you must tell us:1) your involvement in technical computing -- one or two sentences is enough, 2) that you are a woman, and 3) that you agree to follow the rules in the frequently asked questions. Thank you! You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription. You can always request a mail-back of your password when you edit your personal options.
