environs, provider/manual: explicit provider alias
Provider aliases (of which there is one: null->manual)
cause duplicated boilerplate config. We now explicitly
specify aliases, rather than repeating a provider with
multiple names, and only generate boilerplate for the
non-aliases.
Drive by addition of test to provider/manual for alias.
