HBCI cannot be supported at present in Debian gnucash, because the |
5 |
Debian aqbanking packages are built to link against the |
6 |
GPL-incompatible library libssl. There are a GPL-compatible |
7 |
alternatives to that library (libgcrypt and libgnutls) which provide |
8 |
the functionality of libssl, but they have a different API and it is |
9 |
not clear if they currently provide all the functions that are needed. |

If you are interested in getting HBCI support back into Debian |
12 |
gnucash, please step in and help with the work. |
13 |
14 |
Until this situation is resolved, Debian gnucash cannot support HBCI. |
