Simple changes to the compiler to stop it generating C code containing
labels which aren't used. Also a little fix to remove a compiler warning
about variables which aren't used.
The generated code now compiles with GCC 3.3.5 with -Wall without warnings.
(While it's not particularly important to ensure this, it is nice to have.)
Turn -Wall on when compiling the generated code.
