This branch introduces the new line on the celestial sphere - opposition/conjunction longitude. It's a line in ecliptic coordinate system, who passes through both ecliptical poles and the Sun (and, of course, through opposition point). This line is useful for planning the observations of minor planets and comets. Plus it can be use for get the time of opposition/conjunction of the big planets and the Moon.
