Knetfilter

This is a KDE 2.x guy to netfilter that is usable with kernel 2.4.x.

It is possible to manage a complete firewall for all standard and
most of the non-standard operation just using Knetfilter.

Anyway sometimes to command line could be usefull, expecially for MASQUERADE
set up (i promise, i will work of this) if you have more than two network
interfaces. Right now saving MASQUERADE rules, you loose information about
input interface. that should not be a problem, since but i like to idea
to set intranet interface for MASQUERADE.

You can download Knetfilter from:
http://expansa.sns.it/knetfilter,
or from any ftp.kde.org or sunsite.unc.edu mirror site (do not ask
me the directory PATH).

Remember to write me, venom@DarkStar.sns.it, to send me a feedback, to be
ready when Linux 2.4.0 will be the stable kernel for new kind of firewalls.

To install Knetfilter you have just to type:

make clean

make

make install

So, WHY do you waste your time? Just compile and enjoy.

                                 Luigi Genoni

WARNING:
Knetfilter should be stable, at less it is stable for me,
but if i was not figuring some scenario for rules set up, (and
for sure i forgot a lot of them), then
you could have problem. please, report all those problems, so i can
fix it.
