    - use the upstream versioning, not a Debian-specific one
  + debian/rules:
    - don't build documentation it's shipped with the tarball
  + don't use dh-autoreconf fow now (in universe):
    - debian/control: don't list it
    - debian/rules: don't include the .mk file
    - add debian/patches/90_autoreconf.patch to get the new soname
