There are currently two ways in order to make contact with the &kubuntu;
Project; mailing lists (email) and Internet Relay Chat
(<acronym>IRC</acronym>). <acronym>IRC</acronym> is a form of real-time
communication, and is the quickest way to communicate with the &kubuntu; Project

<title>Mailing Lists</title>
<para>
One of the main tools that the &kubuntu; Project uses for communicating are
mailing lists. Mailing lists allow for email discussion.

<note><title>Subscribe</title>
<para>
In order to properly use the mailing lists, it is recommended that you subscribe
to the list you are interested in. Subscribing allows you to post a message
without having it sit in an authorization queue, and it also allows you to
receive messages from others who are also subscribed to the mailing list.

Before you send a message, check to see if the topic has been raised in the past.
</para>
