of software developed by Douglas Thain at the
University of Wisconsin 1999-2004 and continuing
at the University of Notre Dame in 2004.

Documentation and other instructions for each of the
individual packages may be found in the various
subdirectories.  For example, parrot/src contains
the source for Parrot, while parrot/doc contains
the documentation.

To build and install all of these packages in your
home directory, simply type:

	./configure --prefix ~/cctools
	make
	make install

This software may optionally use a variety of 
external packages such as NeST and Globus.
If you have these packages, you should
direct configure to them with a command such as:

	./configure --prefix ~/cctools
		--with-globus-path /usr/local/globus
		--with-nest-path /usr/local/nest
		...

For a list of all possible external packages, type

	./configure --help
