<p>Ya tenemos disponible <strong>Ubuntu 11.10 Alpha 1</strong> para su descarga, según acaba de anunciar <a href="https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/ubuntu-devel-announce/2011-June/000853.html">Kate Stewart</a>.</p>

<p>La más importante de las incorporaciones es la de <strong>Gnome 3</strong>, que ha entrado a formar parte tanto de <strong>Unity</strong> con sus aplicaciones basadas en <strong>GTK+3</strong>, como de la Sesión Clásica, aunque faltan algunos puntos por resolver aún, como el tema por defecto de Ubuntu, que aún no ha sido portado a GTK3.<br/>

<strong>Gnome Shell</strong> también ha sido incluida en los repositorios, aunque si quieres tenerla <a href="http://novatillasku.com/2011/06/01/gnome-shell-en-oneiric-ocelot/">necesitas instalarla</a> y podrás elegirla como opción en la pantalla de login como <strong>Gnome</strong></p>

<p><strong>Unity 2D</strong>, está ahora por defecto y se iniciará en Fallback mode si tu equipo no cumple los requisitos para Unity 3D.</p>

<p>El resto de los cambios que se decidieron en la UDS, no se han producido aún, como la incorporación de <strong>Thunderbird</strong> ( lo hará <a href="https://blueprints.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+spec/desktop-o-default-email-client">posiblemente</a> en la Alpha 3) por lo que Evolution sigue por defecto, la salida de <del datetime="2011-06-02T20:19:06+00:00"><strong>Pitivi</strong> (que se mantiene hasta la beta donde se decidirá si continúa)</del> o la de <strong>LibreOffice</strong>, que sigue también por defecto en ésta Alpha 1.</p>

<p><strong>GDM</strong> tampoco ha sido sustituida aún por <strong><a href="https://blueprints.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+spec/desktop-o-lightdm">LigthDM</a></strong>, ésto está planeado para la Alpha 2.Acaban de pedir precisamente testers para LightDM, así que si estás probando Oneiric, puedes colaborar, mirate cómo <a href="https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/ubuntu-desktop/2011-June/003073.html">AQUI</a>.</p>

<p>En la pantalla de Login, tenemos ya como opción <strong>“Gnome Classic”</strong>, aunque posiblemente muy pronto será sustituida por Unity 2D.</p>

<p>Advertir, como siempre, que ésta Alpha es inestable y no debes correr el riesgo de instalarla a no ser que sea en un lugar adecuado para pruebas.</p>
