 The basic components of groff required to read man pages in ASCII, Latin-1,

 In order to avoid the main groff package depending on the X libraries,

 which would have caused problems for some people upgrading from Debian 2.2,

 gxditview (an X-based viewer for groff output) has also been split into a

 separate package. If you want the gxditview program and its associated

 devices, you will need to install the groff-x11 package separately.
