The frequency and amplitude data comes from an <link linkend="ATSbufread"><citetitle>ATSbufread</citetitle></link> opcode. This is more restricted version of <link linkend="ATSread"><citetitle>ATSread</citetitle></link>, since each <link linkend="ATSread"><citetitle>ATSread</citetitle></link> opcode has its own independent time pointer, and <emphasis>ATSpartialtap</emphasis> is restricted to the data given by an <link linkend="ATSbufread"><citetitle>ATSbufread</citetitle></link>. Its simplicity is its attractive feature.</para>
