Introduction
15

16
Evaluation-Matrix is a collaborative platform dedicated to evaluate current
17
best enterprise management softwares. We focus on a pragmatic approach based
18
on reliable and quantifiable criterions.
20

21
Evaluation-Matrix follows two different objectives:
22
* Building a rated features list reflecting users most common needs and,
23
* Having a way to evaluate available softwares on the market.
25

26
Our first goal is to precisely define the list of criterions most requested on
27
the market. This list is hierarchised based on users most common needs. A
28
ponderation is defined on each criterion to reflect the demand on each
29
particular feature. The highest the ponderation is, the most requested the
32

33
Based on this list of criterions, our second goal is to evaluate the
34
functionnal and technical coverage of the most used softwares. This allows
35
us to display the result as an evaluation matrix, comparing the different
38

39
As to maintain and constantly improve the criterions and features list,
40
Evaluation-Matrix is based on a collaborative approach. Each user can propose
41
new criterions, vote for the pondderation of a criterion or help to evaluate
42
a particular software.
45
Methodology
47

48
Evaluating a software is not an easy task as much of the features are present
49
in several softwares in different forms: from the simplest and easiest one to
50
the complete but complex ones. As to avoid subjectivness of contributors, we
51
decided to base our evaluation criterions based on factual data.
53

54
For example, we do not try to judge or vote on the quality of a feature because
55
it depends too much on the need of a user. So, we perfer computing the quality
56
of a feature based on the availability or not of sub-features.
58

59

Bad criterions :
60

Has the software a good multi-warehouse stock management system ?
61
- Adjectives like 'good' are too subjective, you should only focus on the
62
existance or not of some features.

63

Does the software has an analytic accounting module ?
64
- This question is not precise. All accouting software have analytic
65
accounting features. So this should be a features with several children
66
criterions to compute the quality of the analytic accounting solution.

67

Ability to create a product form ?
68
- This question is not usefull as all software will fit this criterion.

69

Good criterions :
70

Can you define an unlimitted number of warehouses for stock management ?

73
How to propose a new application ?
74

75
We plan to extend the platform to evaluate any kind of enterprise management
76
application. From the complete ERP to the smallest application dedicated to a

To start with a complete content, we sub-contracted evaluations for the softwares

with about 800 criterions and the evaluation of these criterions for the

We plan to extend the evaluation matrix to new applications. Feel free to contact
