In version 0.11.8-1 of pilot-link the /dev/pilot symbolic link was

created by the libpisock8 package after a debconf question.

This was not a good idea and bug #205059 contains the argumentation. The

debconf question and /dev/pilot link creation should be made in every

package directly related with a PDA.

You can either:

- depend on pilot-link. pilot-link will ask the debconf question and

  create the link.

- get the necessary file from pilot-link sources and add them to your
15
 
  packages. The needed files are:

   debian/pilot-link.config

   debian/pilot-link.postinst

   debian/pilot-link.templates

   debian/po/*

  Do NOT change the debconf templace name (shared/pilot/port) so that

  the user will see the question only _once_ whatever package he

  installs first.
