The first thing you should be aware of is that the default behaviour

of xplanet is to change the display of the root window. As a result,

the "xplanetbg" program is no longer needed and should be removed.

To get the same behavior as xplanetbg, run xplanet as a background

process and ignore output ("xplanet [options] 2>/dev/null &")

The command line interface has changed significantly as well. The

format of some options has been changed while other options may only

be specified in the configuration file. If an option isn't described

in this file, it can be used as before.

Input image dimensions should be powers of 2, where the height is half

the width (e.g. 2048x1024). Other image dimensions will work, but

will be slower and may not look as good. Input images are specified
