  - Package ipe depends on lua5.1 due to ipe-update-master.

You can zoom in and out the current drawing by changing the resolution

in the <em>Resolution</em> toolbar.  The number displayed there is the
33
 
number of pixels that correspond to one inch in your document.

<p>Related are the functions <em>Normal size</em> (which sets the
35
 
resolution to 72&nbsp;pixels per inch), <em>Fit page</em> (which chooses the
36
 
resolution so that the current page fills the canvas), <em>Fit
37
 
objects</em> (which chooses the resolution such that the objects on the
38
 
page fill the screen), and <em>Fit selection</em> (which does the same
39
 
for the selected objects only).  All of these are in the <em>Zoom</em>
40
 
menu.

<p>You can <em>pan</em> the drawing either with the mouse in <em>Pan</em>
42
 
mode, or by pressing the "x" key ("here") with the mouse anywhere
43
 
on the canvas.  The drawing is then panned such that the cursor
44
 
position is moved to the center of the canvas. This shortcut has the
45
 
advantage that it also works while you are in the middle of any
46
 
drawing operation. Since the same holds for the <em>zoom in</em> and
47
 
<em>zoom out</em> buttons and keys, you can home in on any feature of
48
 
your drawing <em>while</em> you are adding or editing another object.
