Window Management
<screenshot src="images/window_border_title-and-buttons.png" style="float:right;" />A window is a rectangular area of the screen, with a title bar located at the top and a border. A window typically displays an application - this allows you to have more than one application visible and work on multiple tasks at any given time.

On the left side of the window border, there are buttons to close, minimize, and maximize the window. Closing the window will make it disappear and stop the application. Minimizing the window will hide the window from view, but it can be restored from the bottom panel. Maximizing a window will make it cover the main screen. Clicking the maximize button again will estore the window to its previous size.

You can control the position of windows and its size on the screen. To move the window, simply drag the title bar to a different area of the screen. To resize a window, drag one of the borders to expand or contract the window. You can also drag a corner to change two sides at once.
