<h2>Managing Panels</h2><screenshot src="../en/images/panel_right-click.png" style="float:right;" />Ubuntu allows you to modify your desktop panels, move them around, and add or delete them. Everything on the panel can be removed and more applets can be added at will.

<br><b>Adding Panels</b></br>

You can easily add panels to your desktop. To do so, right click on any vacant space on a panel and choose the New Panel option. New panels do not contain any objects, however, you can customise the panel to suit your preferences.

<br><b>Deleting Panels</b></br>

To delete a panel, right click on that particular panel and choose the Delete This Panel option. Remember, you must have at least one panel on your desktop, so you cannot delete the panel if that particular panel is the only one available.

<br><b>Moving Panels</b></br>

You can move a panel to another side of the desktop. To do so, press and hold the <b>ALT</b> key and drag the panel to the new location.

You can also change the properties of the panel such as its colour, its size, if it should hide automatically and a few other options. To do this, simply right click on a vacant area on the panel and then choose Properties from the pop-up menu. You can modify the properties of each panel from here.
