You can use the following tools for any of your office productivity and document needs.

 

<b>Writer</b>

Writer is OpenOffice's word processor or desktop publisher. It allows you to create and edit documents. It comes with useful features such as AutoComplete, AutoFormat, and AutoCorrect. It also has support for Styles and Formatting, Text Frames and Linking, Insertion of Reference Tables, Indexing, Illustrations, Tables, and most of the tools you normally find in some of the other popular productivity suites available in the market.

 

<b>Calc</b>

Calc is OpenOffice's spreadsheet application. It comes with the standard features you can find in other spreadsheet applications and also offers powerful features such as Advanced DataPilot technology, Intelligent Sum button, Styles and Formatting, and a complete range of advanced spreadsheet functions.

 

<b>Impress</b>

Impress allows you to create multimedia presentations (slideshows). It comes with support for 2D and 3D clip art, fonts, special effects, animation, and other drawing tools. Impress allows users to export presentations not only in pdf, but also in HTML and Flash.

 

<b>Draw</b>

Create graphics, charts, and diagrams with Draw. From a simple sketch to a complex plan, Draw provides you with the tools you need to create graphics. It comes with tools for manipulating objects and rendering images, among others. It lets users create a wide variety of charts -- flowcharts, organizational charts, network diagrams, and many others.

 

<b>Base</b>

Manipulate your database with Base. This application lets users create and modify tables, forms, reports, and queries. It also provides a choice of Wizards, design views, and SQL views for all types of users.
