<h2>How does Wine work?</h2> Wine works by converting Windows system calls into Linux system calls. For example, a call under Windows to erase a file might be different from a call under Linux to do exactly the same thing. Wine works by converting the calls so that a Windows application can communicate with the Linux system.

 

Wine can so far run a few programs and a number of games. However, it is not yet complete and is still far from becoming completely usable.
