<h2>Changing the Theme</h2>

<screenshot src="images/desktop-configuration_theme.jpeg" height="250" style="float:right;" /> One of the easiest ways to change the appearance of your desktop is by changing the theme. 

 

Your desktop comes with several built-in themes. Each theme changes the way the windows look, including all buttons and sometimes, even the icons used. To change your desktop theme select System ▸ Preferences ▸ Appearance.

 

Under the Theme tab, select a theme from the list of available options. Choosing a theme automatically applies the changes to your desktop. 

 

Once you've made your selection, click the Close button.
