<h2>Network Connections: Wireless</h2>

If you're not using a wireless connection you can skip this part.

 

If you want to connect to a wireless network you can do so through the Network Applet. If your network does not show up here then you're either out of range, or the network may be hidden. If the network is hidden you can choose the "Connect to Hidden Wireless Network" option from the Network Applet menu. This will open a new window and allow you to enter your wireless network information.

 

More advanced options are also availale such as using your wireless card to create an ad-hoc network. This is an advanced topic that won't be covered in this basic tour, however for more information please visit http://wiki.ubuntu.com

 

Now you can connect and disconnect from this connection via the Network Applet in the top right.
