     <p>Як зрозуміло з назви, при розділенні кліпу утворюється два сусідні кліпи, з новоствореними точками початку та закінчення.</p>

     <p>У <app>Pitivi</app> розділення кліпу є немодальною операцією; це означає, що для розділення не потрібно активувати відповідний інструмент. Розділення відбувається у поточній позиції відтворення (див. також <link xref="movearoundtimeline">Переміщення позиції відтворення</link>). У поєднанні з масштабуванням, покадровим пошуком з використанням клавіатури та протягуванням немодальне розділення є не тільки швидким і ефективним, але й дуже точним.</p>

        <title>Cutting out the middle</title>

        <p>When you want to cut out a middle section of a clip, split the clip twice on the positions where the part you want to remove begins and ends. Select the middle part and hit <key>delete</key>. Now, eliminate the empty space between the remaining two parts by moving one of them towards the other until they align.</p>
