<p>I <em>tasti singoli</em> consentono di digitare le scorciatoie da tastiera un tasto alla volta invece che dovendo tenere premuti tutti i tasti insieme. Per esempio, senza questa funzionalità, la scorciatoia da tastiera per passare da una finestra all'altra, <keyseq><key>Alt</key><key>Tab</key></keyseq>, deve essere eseguita tenendo premuti entrambi i tasti assieme. Attivando i tasti singoli è possibile compiere la stessa azione premendo e rilasciarando prima <key>Alt</key> e successivamente <key>Tab</key>.</p>

<p>For example, if you have sticky keys turned on but press <key>Alt</key> and <key>Tab</key> simultaneously, sticky keys would not wait for you to press another key if you had this option turned on. It <em>would</em> wait if you only pressed one key, however. This is useful if you are able to press some keyboard shortcuts simultaneously (for example, keys that are close together), but not others.</p>
